This "diver’s paradise" has set the standard for dive destinations around the world by implementing strict marine protection policies over 30 years ago and establishing one of the world’s first marine parks. Bonaire is also arguably the best shore diving destination in the world with over 60 dive sites hardly a stone’s throw from shore and over 80 in total including those surrounding the offshore deserted island of Klein Bonaire.
SIDEBAR: The man that is widely recognized as Bonaire’s pioneer of marine conservation is a charismatic man by the name of Captain Don. After arriving in Bonaire from California in 1963 on his sloop, the Valerie Queen, Captain Don, an avid diver himself, recognized both the undiscovered potential and inherent threats of this pristine marine environment. His bold and courageous role as a leader in protecting not only the reefs of Bonaire but the reefs of the world continue to inspire divers and policy-makers around the world to take an active role in preserving their underwater resources.
Bonaire Dive and Adventure
Bonaire Dive and Adventure is a PADI 5-star training & instruction facility. PADI full certification & open water referrals up to Assistant Instructor. Universal referral facility (IDEA, NASDS, NAUI, PDIC, SSI, YMCA and SDI). Shore, boat and night dives. Equipment sales, rentals & repairs. Specializes in naturalist activities: nature tours, kayaking, guided snorkeling and diving programs, cavetrips, mountainbiketours and rental, diving with naturalist. Fish-Eye photo offers: photo & video courses, underwater camera & video rentals, digital photoservice & custom video shoots. Location: next to Sand Dollar Condominium Resort and Den Laman restaurant.
Divi Dive Bonaire
Our full service PADI Gold Palm Resort dive operation is located on the property of the Divi Flamingo Beach Resort and is a footwalk from town. Our dive center offers daily two tank morning and single tank afternoon boat dives. We have 5 custom dive boats, from 36 feet to 42 feet in length. Our PADI Gold Palm Divi Dive center is exclusively for the use of our resort guests. Our full service on site dive center includes a fully stocked dive shop, all instruction including Tech diving, Nitrox, complete dive equipment rentals, & private docks near your guest room. The house reef drops to 134 ft in front of the resort and unlimited use of tanks are provided with all dive packages.
